What is the UAE Golden Visa

The UAE government introduced the golden visa in 2019, enabling foreigners to live, work, and study in the nation without requiring a national sponsor and with full ownership of their businesses located on the UAE mainland. These visas are automatically renewed after five or ten years of issuance.

The visa is available to investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talent, researchers in a wide range of information and technological fields, and exceptional students. The UAE eliminated the requirement of a one million dirham down payment for those wishing to apply for a golden visa through real estate investment on January 25.

Golden Visa benefits

  • a six-month entrance visa that can be used with multiple entries to get a resident permit
  • a renewable, long-term residency visa good for five or ten years
  • No sponsor needed
  • the ability to remain outside the United Arab Emirates for longer than the customary six months to maintain the validity of their residency visa
  • the privilege to sponsor their spouses and kids, regardless of age, as well as other family members
  • the privilege to sponsor a maximum number of domestic helpers
  • the permission, if the principal Golden visa holder passes away, for family members to remain in the UAE until the conclusion of their permit period.
