Maya Ray Thurman Hawke aka (Robin Buckley from Stranger Things) was born on July 8th, 1998. She’s an American actress, songwriter, and model. Most of us know her from the TV series “Stranger Things”. She is the daughter of famous actress Uma Thurman and Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke. Her parents first met on the filming set of the 1997 film Gattaca, got married in May 1998, and divorced in 2005. She has one brother. She also has two half-sisters from the second marriage of her father.

Early Life and Education

She got her primary education from St Ann’s School, a private school in Brooklyn, New York. Due to her dyslexia, she had to change schools a lot. She eventually became an actress because of the creative environment given by her family. Hawke also studied for a summer at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. After accepting her role in Little Women, she attended the Juilliard School for a year, then left to pursue a BFA in acting.

She made her acting debut in the BBC miniseries adaption of Little Women as Jo March. Robin aka Maya Hawke began her career as a model for Vogue magazine, just like her mother and grandmother. She was also selected as the face of AllSaints, a British clothing company. Maya is a great fond of music and has written many songs. In August 2019, Maya released her two songs as a debut which were “To Love a Boy” and “Stay Open”. She released and recorded these tracks with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jesse Harris.
